Course Content

The Spring 2012 course will focus on the Qigong system known as 'Dragon and Tiger':

Dragon and Tiger Qigong uses your hands and simple body movements to balance the chi in the body. This form of qigong has been developed to activate and balance the acupuncture meridians. The movements are designed to release stagnant and blocked chi and so create space for the flow of fresh chi to enter the body.

There are 7 movements to learn. We will focus on one movement a week for the first 7 weeks and then take the last 3 weeks to integrate the movements together.

Dragon and Tiger Qigong was developed over 1,500 years ago in Ancient China. It has more recently become popular in the USA through the work of Bruce Frantzis. Frantzis has developed a DVD and instruction manual which can be purchased from his website (www.energyarts.com), to accompany the class. Then, if you miss a week of the class you have an opportunity to catch up in your own time!
